A transportation service will pick you up and drive 1 1/2 hours to the river put in. This Jaco tour provides a wild day full of adventure and excitement. Upon arrival you will receive a safety briefing and suit up to hit the rapids. This Jaco tour is a challenging experience perfect for seasoned paddlers. With steep drops through the mountains of Quepos and jungle gorges, you are sure to see incredible scenery. Your Jaco tour guide is a trained professional in first aid, water rapids rescue and mountain rescue. This river rafting adventure allows you to tame class III rapids. After you finish your run you will be served with a delicious homemade lunch, after which transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. Jaco tour participants should be physically fit.

Adventurous people visiting Manuel Antonio should not miss the chance to overcome "El Chorro", a high degree whitewater rafting trip. "El Chorro" is a Class 4 whitewater rafting trip on the upper section of the Naranjo River, about 1 hour and 30 minutes from the main Jaco hotel area. This whitewater rafting trip is known as a dry season Class IV, and it boost up to Class V and frequently turns unnavigable during rainy season. Although it's a strenuous and challenging whitewater trip, rafters do not need prior rafting experience; nevertheless, they have to be in good physical conditions and the minimum age is 16 years. Since the rapids go through a very narrow gorge, it had been decided to name it "El Chorro" where the appropriate translation to English would be "jet gorge". This powerful excursion last around 4 hours, between the pick-up and drop off at your hotel.
